Applications

Single-cell analysis is dramatically changing how we understand disease. The true biological complexity of cell populations cannot be accurately resolved with bulk approaches. Advances in single-cell analysis will pave the way for significant improvement to elucidate insights that will help us understand, diagnose, and treat disease.

Celsee is enabling the single cell revolution of life sciences research to improve our understanding of biology. The Genesis System uniquely allows the processing of two Slide Technologies for many applications.

Slide Technology

Celsingle™ Slides provide researchers the ability to analyze molecular signatures from hundreds to millions of single cells, for a unique and comprehensive view of life science and clinical research. Celsingle™ Slides also support proteomic applications enabling characterization of both protein and RNA at single-cell resolution.

Celselect™ Slides enhance researchers’ ability to monitor circulating tumor cells for disease progression or therapeutic response; or, viably enrich cells for downstream culture, imaging or genomic analysis.

Single-Cell Cytometry

High-parameter protein analysis that scales from hundreds to millions of single cells with the Genesis System.

  • Limitless protein detection with no spectral overlap — push past the boundaries of traditional cytometry methods
  • No lasers, droplets, heavy metals, or harsh processes
  • No gating calibration

Single-Cell Proteogenomics

The Genesis System enables characterization of both RNA and protein at single-cell resolution

  • Delivers best-in-class cell population resolution
  • Limitless protein detection with combined RNA measurement
  • Reduced risk of batch effects with higher cell throughput
  • No lasers, droplets, heavy metals, or harsh processes

Single-Cell Transcriptomics

Achieve deep cell population resolution with the Genesis System and scale to millions of single cells

  • Interrogate large numbers of cells at once with high capture efficiency
  • Gentle gravity-based cell isolation without harsh droplet approaches
  • Achieve cost-effective tissue atlases with high cell numbers

Rare-Cell Enumeration

The Genesis System captures more rare cells, enables accurate enumeration and downstream analysis.

  • Highly-efficient capture of immune cells from common solution-based samples
  • Remove of greater than 99% of RBCs and WBCs
  • On-slide immunostaining

Enrichment Key Application

Rare-Cell Enrichment

The Genesis System captures and retrieves viable rare cells for any application with high efficiency.

  • Capture and retrieval of rare cells from blood, urine or tissue in less than 30 minutes
  • Highly-efficient capture of rare cells (1 in 1,000,000 cells)
  • Viable cells captured can be used for imaging, culture or downstream genomic analysis

What Can I Do with the Genesis System?

❯ Characterize the tumor microenvironment: Investigate tumor heterogeneity and immune response before, during, and after treatment

❯ Generate tissue atlases: Pan-tissue mapping of the human body to understand transcriptional profiles of particular cell types

❯ Monitor the immune system: Detection of T and B cell phenotypes to understand disease response and its relation to treatment and ultimately to outcomes, with long-term potential for non-invasive detection of many immune-related issues

❯ Analyze pathways: A powerful approach for unraveling the function of various signaling pathways across application areas (e.g. development or cell-cell signaling) and biomarker discovery in oncology

❯ Trace cell lineage: Characterize the developmental mechanisms by which a single cell gives rise to tissues or multicellular organisms, or track the onset of cancer from its cell of origin

❯ Rare Cell Enumeration: Monitor circulating tumor cells (CTCs) for tumor progression and response to treatment

❯ Characterize Rare Cells: Enrich viable rare single cells from blood, urine or tissue for imaging, culture, or downstream analysis such as molecular characterization of CTCs for precision medicine
