Job Description & Responsibilities

Celsee is looking for a dedicated Field Applications Scientist II responsible for application training and troubleshooting on our next-gen microtechnology platforms for automated label-free isolation, analysis, and retrieval of single cells. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing life science company with disruptive technology in the RUO and clinical market space. FAS candidates will play a primary role in supporting all Celsee platforms and contributing to the success of new products as they are released at customer sites.

Provides first-class support to Celsee customers.
Schedules and performs applications training at end-user sites.
Communicates any product quality issues through proper channel.
Interfaces and works closely with the Field Service Team and Regional Sales Team.
Compliance with all validated application documents and quality SOP.
Maintain CRM for customer applications training, issues, complaints, and updates.
Continuously update scientific & technological knowledge for the support of customers, concentrating on knowing and identifying current and novel applications which would benefit the success of all customers.
Communicate effectively within a team to enhance other knowledge and disseminate information.

Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and 5+ years of experience in the Life Sciences with a minimum of 2 years in Field Applications; A minimum of 3 years relevant lab experience, as well as:

Preferred Masters or Ph.D. in Biochemistry or Molecular Biology or related discipline.
Highly organized and self-motivated
Basic understanding of single-cell isolation and applications
Strong customer focus
A technically competent individual who can assess customer needs and implement training and experimental approaches to ensure customer success
Problem-solving skills with a proven ability to overcome technical hurdles
Require minimal guidance on routine tasks
Ability to interact with customers on a level that inspires confidence and secures customer loyalty
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills

Required Training & Physical Demands

Up to 2 weeks initial training on the Celsee Products that includes assembly, repair and replace, presentations and independent reading.
Learn to use CRM system to support install, repair and all customer activity.
On the job training as needed for Celsee products.

  • Must live close to an international airport.
  • Overnight travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. under 1/3 of the time
Job Performance Evaluation

Technical competency resolving customer issues.
Keeping CRM database up to date with all assigned objectives. (install, break-fix, validation and FAS interface)
Keeping within budgeted expense levels.
Customer satisfaction based from direct feedback.
SOP document development, helping train and develop new staff.
Customer instrument status reporting on a weekly basis, including issues/repairs, non-conformance, unresolved events and planning.
