Product Manager, Celselect Technology

The Product Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of global product strategies for the Celselect™ products for use on the Genesis System. The role supports the Celsee value proposition of accelerating single-cell innovation and productivity, for both Celsee and our customers. The product manager will lead the core team for the development of product enhancements and new products for the Celselect™ technology. This Product Manager role is unique and will have responsibilities in Sales and Development. The split of responsibilities will be: Product Management 70%, Sales 20%, Development 10%. This role reports to the Associate Director of Product Marketing and works cross functionally with Development, Applications Marketing, Marketing Programs, Corporate Development, Sales and Support.
❯ Manage existing and new products in the Celselect portfolio by creating and implementing product marketing plans, leading New Product Introduction (NPI) teams, and providing data related to the market, trends, product positioning, competition, revenue, and unit forecasting and pricing strategies.
❯ Develop business opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction
❯ Develop product roadmap for life cycle management
❯ Identify third-party partners to extend products such as imagers and software packages
❯Assist in identifying and developing effective promotional and sales tools and collateral marketing pieces.
❯ Coordinate marketing communications activities and plans with the Marketing Program Group
❯ Maintain close interaction with field organization (e.g., sales and support) through training and active participation in the sales process, including customer visits
❯ Responsible for revenue goals for Celselect™ technology product line; identify, nurture and close sales opportunities
❯ Lead sustaining activities for existing products
❯ Manages inventory, pricing, forecast, revenue, and margin for Celselect products
❯ Leads new product development process from concept through commercialization, including the voice of customer research, the definition of customer and product requirements and value proposition, manage product launches and sales training
❯ Identification of specific instrument opportunities that have been cultivated and primed for Sales to close
❯ Assist Celselect Development Scientists in defining specific experiments for product line extensions and data analysis
❯ Works collaboratively in cross-functional teams
A Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related field; MS, MBA or Ph.D
As well as:
- 1-2+ years of relevant systems experience in marketing, sales or support
- Understanding of end to end workflows including sample prep through data analysis with a deep understanding of software and imaging requirements.
- Ability to manage project scope, budget and schedule to achieve timely completion of project deliverables
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflict within teams.
- Excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation techniques.
- Demonstrated effectiveness participating in core teams for product development
- Ability to see new business opportunities, set and meet aggressive objectives and develop strong working relationships will be required for success
- Requires strong customer-facing experience
- Experience developing and presenting product marketing materials
- Highly self-motivated leader with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
- Travel 15%-20% (US/International)
