Job Description & Responsibilities

Celsee is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer to join our innovative multidisciplinary engineering team. In this cross-functional role,

you will participate in product development and transfer activities for complex systems. You will take a lead role in software testing activities for new and legacy product designs.

Core Responsibilties:

❯ Participate in project-wide reviews of development plans, requirements, architectures, detailed designs, and source code.
❯ Develop software verification and validation plans, strategies, estimations.
Develop software test procedures, methods, and test cases for software unit, integration, and system-level testing.
❯ Generate software test scripts.
❯ Execute software tests and analyze results.
Generate software test reports and make improvement recommendations.
Enter and track software issues.
Generate defect reports and metrics.
Maintain software test traceability.
Create controlled testing process to assure product quality through light-weight checks and balances to prevent regressions and production issues.
Establish testing frameworks for test automation.

Education & Experience

Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.

As well as:

• 3-5 years’ experience developing software/firmware, preferably in an FDA/ISO regulated environment.
• Strong coding skills in C/C++ test development.
• Deep level of knowledge in writing test design documents and test scripts.

Position Accountability/Scope:

Position reports to the Director of Engineering and works on all assigned tasks/projects that are within scope for the defined position.

Work Environment:

Most work is performed in an indoor office, engineering lab, and biochemistry wet lab environment. Minimal travel to local suppliers or consultants is required.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

❯ Scripting skills with one or more scripting languages such as Python.
❯ Exposure to working on a Linux/Unix operating system.
❯ Experience working on Agile (Scrum) teams, and/or in a DevOps organization, is very helpful
❯ Understanding of development tools such as Git, Jira, etc.
❯ Proven history of working on a team that has successfully prepared products for design transfer to contract manufacturers.
❯ Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals while working across departments and teams.
