We are searching for the right Software Engineer to work on our bioinformatics pipeline software stack. This code represents how we measure and analyze each of the individual cells. You will get the opportunity to work with other software engineers to build a full solution to both the Celsee scientists as well as our scientist customers. This position sits in the intersection of biology and computing.
You will be working in a small team environment. Multiple projects and multiple computing languages may be required. Flexible thinking is desired. Diversity of thought is encouraged.
❯ Build and maintain bioinformatics pipelines
❯ Create exportable containers (Docker/Kubernetes) to allow others to run these pipelines in their computing environments
A Bachelor’s Degree in Software Development or Computer Science or Equivalent Work Experience, as well as:
• 2+ years of Software Development Experience.
• Programming Experience with Python and Bash, and confidence working in Linux
• Familiar with Cloud Development Technologies (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc)
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Experience with Git
• Experience with deployment containers: Docker, Singularity, Kubernetes
• Experience with Open Source Bioinformatics Analysis Tools and Data for example: Dropseq, STAR, FASTQ, SAM/BAM, DGE
Most work is performed in an indoor environment using a keyboard, mouse, and computer.
